For Muslim institutions, leadership requires both trustworthiness and capability.
A leader needs enough knowledge of the deen to recognize what Allah has permitted and prohibited, understand what cannot be compromised, and make decisions within the boundaries of Islam.
But religious commitment alone does not make someone qualified to lead every organization. A leader also needs competence in the field, including sound judgment, execution, communication, organization, and decisiveness.
